About Aksun

Aksun is a Hack & Slash Roguelite rooted in Korean shamanic folklore. You are trapped inside the Casket - a cursed sealing device forged to imprison the will of a fallen cult and its monstrous prophet. Every run forces you deeper into a cycle of memory, suffering, and rebirth - but also closer to mastery.

DESCEND INTO THE SEAL OF AKSUN
Death in Aksun is merely a part of a ritual and every victory peels back a layer of truth. Trapped inside the Seal of Aksun - a cursed prison born from shattered reincarnation - you’ll awaken lost weapons, absorb corrupted artifacts, and fight your way through a world that remembers your every attempt.
THREE-DIMENSINAL BUILD SYSTEM
Aksun’s progression is built on the interaction of three core components:
- Weapons, bound to Hell Gods, define your combat identity and unlock powerful Awakening Skills.
- Artifacts, crystallized remnants of cult rituals, grant elemental effects, deployable summons, and active chaos.
- Echoes, synergy-based stat modifiers, tie everything together into unpredictable, layered builds.
Mastering the relationships between these three systems is key to surviving - and breaking - the cycle.
ELEMENTS IN CONFLICT
Each Artifact belongs to one of the Five Elements - Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, or Lightning - and doesn’t just empower you in isolation. Combine them, and you’ll trigger destructive chain reactions: flame igniting storm, lightning crashing through molten stone.
NEW RUN, NEW BUILD
Each chapter is a branching node map. After each stage, choose your next path and reward: strengthen your weapon with Resonance, gain a new Artifact Chime, unlock awakened passives, collect Echoes to shape your stats, or shop for high-risk upgrades. Every death resets your loadout, but each run teaches you more - unlocking smarter, deadlier combinations that evolve your build in unpredictable ways.

LORE THAT BLEEDS INTO PLAY
The entire game takes place inside a distorted echo of the Six Realms of Rebirth - a closed loop designed to punish those who rejected the cycle. The Mokdugi King, once a cult leader, is now its most broken prisoner.
Every design - from its mechanics to its symbols - is rooted in Korean myths, rituals, and spiritual beliefs: shamanism, elemental balance, divine punishment, and ancestral memory.
This isn’t just myth. It’s ritual, played in blood.
