About Artemed
Game World
- The Black Echo: A global infection transmitted when supernatural whispers are heard. These whispers have a limited range of about 2 meters, creating constant tension in tight spaces or when encountering infected crowds.
- Atmosphere: The game is set primarily at night, under moderate rain, adding a heavy and melancholic tone. The setting is dark and realistic, reflecting the despair of a collapsing world.
Story
The player takes on the role of Alex, a modest man living in an old apartment. After a tragic car accident that killed his family, Alex has been taking care of his niece, Lily, as her only guardian.
Gameplay
The player is immersed in an experience focused on:
- Survival: Exploring hostile terrain and carefully managing limited resources.
- Proximity and tension: The limited range of the Black Echo requires players to be vigilant about sounds and surroundings. Spatial awareness is critical to avoid getting too close to the infected.
- Emotion: The game leans heavily on a poignant story, delving into themes like loss, guilt, and fragile hope.
Atmosphere
Constant rain, ominous shadows, and sinister whispers create a psychologically oppressive and immersive experience. The game draws from a somber and melancholic aesthetic, emphasizing the collapse of a once-familiar world.
The concept blends elements of horror, survival, and human drama, offering a rich, emotional, and tense experience.
