In the Eternal Night Kingdom ruled by the mad Divine Sovereignty, the Sunset Empire—a land shrouded in darkness since the day the Eternal Night began—there arose those who could not die. People saw this as a curse from the shadows. The Undying have an instinctive hunger for souls, and as a result, the other races often keep their distance from them.

But there is a glimmer of hope: among the endless darkness, the Undying possess shards of the Sunset's Divine Weapon, which serve as a conduit to link themselves to others—a faint light in this all-encompassing night.

Yet, in the deepest of tombs, someone has awakened an Undying long forgotten, whose name has been lost to time.
