Goblin Hotdogs is a singleplayer game in which the player plays as a cute goblin who has the goal of collecting hotdogs. The player controls the goblin and collects hotdogs by moving, jumping, sprinting, and toggling between third-person and first-person perspective (with some areas and puzzles being easier to navigate or solve in one perspective or the other). The player will also perform archery to interact with objects in the game.

In its current state, the game is one level containing a tutorial area and a larger open area for the player to explore.
