Joutsen Ara

“The 'lover's legend' says that a couple of gardeners existed for a long time in love with each other and with nature. For reasons of life, they were separated by the distance. To continue their legacy of care for the environment, they swore they would spread artifacts on a trail and would join two feathers from local birds. So the birds will follow the path of artifacts, magically connecting two souls that join they will continue the legacy of the lovers."

Joutsen Ara is a Indie short game made as a part of the 2021 Good Game Jam. It tells story of two girls each in a different side of the world, both with a passion for nature. A blue macaw takes flight in Brazil and a whooper swan in Finland, both girls decide to chase after them

Joutsen Ara is a isometric 2.5D puzzle-platformer with a unique aesthetics, it consists of 2 levels, one in Brazil and another in Finland, where the player is expected to interact with its surroundings to solve puzzles and explore in order to find hidden collectables.
