About Lines We Draw
Lines We Draw is a single-player 3D isometric narrative strategy game about duty, empathy, and survival at a Cold War border checkpoint.
As a border inspector between two rival socialist states, you decide who may cross and who must stay behind.
Every document tells a story, and every stamp you press draws a line between loyalty and humanity.

After years of brutal conflict, an uneasy calm has settled between Krasnograd and Holosztazka.
The borders are reopening, but distrust lingers on both sides.
Each day, travelers arrive, families seeking safety, smugglers with contraband, deserters, spies, and ordinary workers caught in the crossfire of politics and survival.
Your duty is to inspect their papers, verify their stories, and make a choice: approve or deny.
Your decisions will shape lives, determine fates, and decide whether peace endures or collapses.

Receive documents and examine every detail, names, dates, stamps, photos, permits.
Ask questions. Request missing papers. Compare stories and faces.
Then make your judgment: do they pass… or stay behind the wire?
Each day brings new orders, new rules, and growing pressure from superiors who measure your accuracy and loyalty.
But ordinary people will remember your mercy or cruelty.

Rules and regulations change day by day. Political pressure mounts, and the atmosphere at the checkpoint grows tense.
What begins as routine work quickly turns into a moral crossroads - where the fate of individuals, and the balance between nations, rests on your judgment.
Your choices have lasting consequences. You may rise as a hero of the people, become a loyal instrument of the regime, or remain lost in the gray zone between both worlds.
At the border, there are no easy decisions.

• Daily border shifts – Check passports, visas, and belongings under increasing time pressure.
• Moral dilemmas – Obey the regime or follow your conscience. Every decision matters.
• Shifting politics – Each day brings new rules, restrictions, and unexpected events.
• Dynamic encounters – Refugees, spies, smugglers, soldiers, and desperate families — each with unique stories and consequences.
• Dynamic environment and weather – Each day looks a little different. The political situation changes, and so do the shapes of the borders.
• Branching outcomes – Become a hero of the people, a loyal instrument of the regime, or remain lost in the gray zone between.
• Replay value – Treat people differently and experience new endings to the story.
• Distinctive style – A semi-realistic visual look inspired by socialist propaganda art and Cold War-era paintings.
At the border, truth is never black and white.
Every decision leaves a mark - on others, and on you.
