You have been sent out to the frontier of human-charted space in a small mining ship, tasked with expanding humanity's footprint amongst the stars. In order to succeed, you will need to collect resources, automate production, expand your base of operations, and research new technologies.

You start out alone in a resource-rich asteroid belt. Explore your environment using your ship's scanners to find the resources you will need to start building. Start out with the basic mining tools available on your ship, and upgrade them as your progress. Unlock automated mining drones to feed a steady supply of resources to your growing factories.

There's too much work to do yourself. Build machines, connect them with conveyor belts, and plan out your production lines in order to make sure everything is running at maximum efficiency.

Use the designer to build and expand your ships and stations. Unlock new modules as you progress, or build freely in creative mode. Save your designs to use again later, or to share with friends.

Ships form the backbone of your transportation network and your defences. Give your fleet a schedule of orders, or take command from your flagship in order to maximize their success when it counts.

Your industrial activity has awakened an ancient alien defence system. Use your fleet of ships to protect your base, taking advantage of their mobility to respond to threats. Or, take the fight to the enemy and destroy their defence platforms and shipyards.

Use the items you produce to research new technology. Prioritize the research that matters most to your survival and unlock new ships, station modules, items, and buffs to help you expand your base.
