About Monk Took Book
Explore a hand-crafted monastic library on a remote island, in first or third person.
Carry thy books
Every book has a unique image on the cover and spine. Study it closely and remember it well.
Organise and expand
Home to several buildings besides the main hall, you will spend the Abbot’s blessings to unlock new areas and taller shelves to house an ever-increasing book collection.
Complete thy orders
At night you are tasked with fetching books for your fellow monks. Recall where you have stored them and retrieve them swiftly, because all orders must be completed by dawn.
Make use of thy tools
Spend the Abbot’s blessings on a variety of tools to aid you. Ladders can be carried and placed to reach top shelves. Torches are vital to see at night, and can be placed on walls. Fires can be extinguished with water from the well.
Defend thyself
The monks speak of strange happenings at night. Some have seen fantastical creatures that seem to have lept from the very pages into reality. Arm yourself with the weapons you need to defend yourself, and the collection, after dark. If all else fails, you can always throw a book. They’re heavy!
Work together
Monk Took Book is playable in single player, but can also be enjoyed with friends as you share tools, exorcise ghosts, and discuss where you left those books.
