About Project: Centurion

A broken ship. A frozen crew. A terminal prompt.

Project: Centurion is a narrative-driven, command-line adventure game built around real-world Linux skills. Players will learn and use Linux commands and systems knowledge to interact with the ship’s internal network, parse system logs, repair damaged services, and uncover what happened to the crew stuck in cryosleep—and whether escape is still possible.

Here's what you'll experience in the full version of Project: Centurion:

Interact with the ship primarily through a realistic Linux command line backed by real virtual machines.

Navigate directories and inspect files to uncover the secrets of the Centurion and her crew.

Advance by solving in-world challenges: restore broken drives, fix controller services, and trace network activity to figure out what's gone wrong and what you're up against.

Talk to other characters in the Perseus system to finish quests and help with your missions to avert impending crisis.

What you're getting:

24 episodes of learning and narrative content to teach you Linux-fu and have immersive fun while you're doing it.

Instruction and practice in important Linux commands like sed, grep, and awk.

Hands on experience with common tools like ssh, scp, and rsync as you explore the Centurion's systems and interact with other ships

An immersive sci-fi universe grounded in functional computing.
