Full character customization. Your character will have stats that will change based on your actions, choices, clothing and manor build out. Those stats will affect how the NPCs of the world interact with you.

Attend balls. Promenade through the park. Debate the latest politics at a soiree. Every event is an opportunity to meet or reencounter another influential person in society and either raise or lose favor with them and or enter into a romantic entanglement.

Every interaction also opens the opportunity to receive gifts or negotiate trade deals that result in items you can use to take to the modiste to craft new outfits, the carpenter to create new furnishings for your manor, or expand your manor to unlock gardens, kitchens and stables for expansive gameplay experiences.
