About SoulTrigger

① Game Objective

『Soul Trigger』 aims to maximize immersion in its urban fantasy setting through a strategic semi-real-time turn-based combat system and uniquely themed regions. The core gameplay revolves around character progression and completing the main storyline.

Players will experience each character’s personal narrative while solving various problems that arise in the different regions of the game world.

② Gameplay & Combat System

1) Gameplay Loop

Centered around a main base, players select a team of three characters to explore various regions.

After exploration, players return to the base to develop characters using acquired resources, then repeat the exploration loop.

A multi-layered narrative structure—including the main and side stories as well as individual character arcs—provides a rich and engaging content experience.

2) Exploration Areas

Exploration regions are modularly constructed in [Room] units.

Types of Rooms:

Combat Room: Triggers battles with enemies themed to the region. Players mainly acquire upgrade resources.

Event Room: Triggers encounters based on the world’s lore. Random rewards, NPC interactions, buffs, or consumables can be obtained.

Midpoint Room: Allows recovery of HP and Collapse Gauge. Serves as a transition point for continued exploration.

Each Room presents objectives that must be cleared to progress to the next zone.

3) Combat System

Combat operates on a semi-real-time system where a character’s turn ends after their action, and the enemy’s turn begins.

Only one character is active in combat at a time, but players can switch between characters in the party for strategic advantage.

Each turn, a character can perform one of the following actions: Wait, Move, or Use a Skill. Once an action is taken, the turn ends and shifts to the enemy.

By exploiting enemy elemental weaknesses or executing counterattacks/evades, players can knock enemies [Down], gaining extra turns or other combat advantages.

Combat System: The game combines turn-based RPG strategy with semi-real-time control, and introduces a [Down] system to make the combat flow intuitive and accessible.

Progression System: Character development involves leveling up core stats (Strength, Agility, Intelligence) and enhancing their unique card-based abilities.

Exploration System: Adventure RPG-style exploration through distinct Room-based regions offers high replay value.

Visual Style: A hybrid visual design featuring 3D backgrounds and 2D character illustrations creates a sense of depth and artistic flair.
