About Starhopper

Starhopper is a nonlinear puzzle game about aligning stars to form intricate patterns. Across hundreds of hand-crafted puzzles, you will chart the night sky, restore the cosmic order, and fight with aliens.

Each level is carefully designed to convey a singular core idea. There is no fluff, and none of the difficulty stems from arbitrary complexity or tedium. All puzzles are made with the player's sanity in mind, without compromising on deep, interesting logic.

Features include:

  • A full game's worth of accessible levels alone, and...
  • A full game's worth of mind-bending late-game content on top of that!
  • Hundreds of carefully handcrafted levels!
  • Highly unique mechanics!
  • An atmospheric OST by Galarem!
  • A generous hint system
  • A strong focus on quality of life features
  • More than meets the eye...

Different kinds of objects (stars, Dyson spheres, comets, pulsars, you name it) follow correspondingly different rules. As the game progresses, the cross-over interactions between these objects will become increasingly interesting.

The endgame unlocks a series of turn-based challenges, in which each turn acts as a micro-puzzle within the greater endeavor, adding a whole new layer of thinking. This series is one of multiple post-game excursions into experimental mechanics, amounting to a full, extra game's worth of content on top of the main game. This is a game which vows to "go for it" on any worthwhile ideas, no matter the scope.
