About Starship Dice
Starship Dice is a strategy game with dice at its core, inspired by Mahjong. Players use dice to command fleets in battle. Different point values and dice combinations form scoring hands. But don't worry, you can still battle even without forming a complete hand (winning condition).
Each player has 14 dice. There are 4 types of dice: D4, D8, D12, and D20. Each time you roll a dice, it randomly becomes one of these 4 types. Each die type corresponds to a specific class of warship.
When 3 dice of the same type show the same number, it's called a Set (Kötsu). When 3 dice of the same type show numbers in sequence (X, X+1, X+2), it's called a Sequence (Shuntsu). When 2 dice of the same type show the same number, it's called a Pair (Toitsu).
When your 14 dice form 4 Sets or Sequences plus 1 Pair, this is called winning the hand (Hu/Richi). Fulfilling additional conditions creates scoring combinations (Yaku), increasing your hand score (Fan). A higher Fan score results in greater warship damage.
