About StoryFlow Editor

StoryFlow Editor is a visual node-based tool for designing branching narratives and dialogue systems for games. If you're building a narrative-heavy game and tired of juggling spreadsheets, docs, and text files, this is built for you.

Create complex story structures, branching dialogues, and conditional logic using an intuitive visual interface - no coding required. See your entire narrative at a glance, test different paths, and export as standalone HTML or JSON (can be used with game engines).

VISUAL STORYTELLING

Design your narratives the way you think about them: visually. Connect dialogue nodes, create choice branches, manage variables, and build conditional logic using a familiar node-based interface similar to Unreal Engine Blueprints. Drag, connect, and organize your story elements without writing a single line of code.

KEY FEATURES

Dialogue System. Create conversation trees with multiple choice branches. Add character dialogue, player responses, and branch your story based on player decisions. Support for images in dialogue nodes to create visual novel experiences.

Logic & Variables. Manage story state with boolean variables. Use conditional branches to create dynamic narratives that respond to player choices. Build complex logic with AND, OR, NOT, and comparison operations.

Multiple Scripts. Organize large projects by splitting your narrative into multiple script files. Jump between scripts seamlessly to keep your project manageable and structured.

Export Options
  • HTML Export: Create standalone interactive web experiences that run in any browser
  • JSON Export: Export your narrative data for custom integration workflows
  • Engine Integration (In Development): Direct plugins for Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot coming soon

Desktop First. Works completely offline. All your narrative data stays on your machine. No subscriptions, no cloud dependency, just a tool that works when you need it.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
  • Indie developers building narrative-driven games, visual novels, or dialogue-heavy RPGs
  • Solo developers who need a visual way to organize complex story structures
  • Game designers prototyping interactive narratives before implementation
  • Writers working on branching storylines and want to see the big picture
EARLY ACCESS STATE

StoryFlow Editor is fully functional for creating and exporting narratives. The core visual editor, dialogue system, variable management, and HTML/JSON exports are stable and ready for production use.

You may encounter workflow friction points or discover missing convenience features - your feedback will directly shape development priorities. Direct game engine integrations are in active development.

WHAT'S NEXT

Development focuses on completing official plugins for Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot, expanding the node library with more advanced narrative patterns, and improving quality-of-life features based on your feedback. The exact timeline and priority will be guided by what challenges you encounter in real production use.
