About the Glass Line
Customize your ship and take flight in defense of your local solar system and its near-critical dying star. Wander the starfield to collect weapons, hire allies, visit the planet hubs, manage resources- but be sure to not ignore the mob-hoard for too long! The Star is relying on you.
The Glass Line is a classic-feel snes-core space shooter in which you take control of your own Saucership in defense of a dying star.
An invasive threat is attempting to dump enough mass into the star to usher it toward criticality. The mob hoard is real, endless, and massive.
In a last-ditch attempt to slow the onslaught, the locals have built in space the Glass Line: a series of defensive beacons that absorb some of the mob hoard. The line is fragile though. Should it fall, the star is all that is left. Do you defend the beacons? Defend the star? Increase your ability to control the hoard yourself? Or simply, enjoy the starfield and watch the show?
Collect scrap and rare materials to convert into system upgrades and new weapons at the orbital bases. Increase your standing with one of the factions to gain an occasional ally in battle. Or simply, buckle up, and stand your ground as the star collapses and the black hole eats the local system.
