The game has been updated to the new remastered version.
When you launch the game the screen goes completely black. I left it for 30 minutes in case it was doing some kind of optimization, such as compiling shaders. It never showed the game so it appears to be broken. I also tried CrossOver 26 and when you click play it tries for a couple of seconds and then returns to Steam.
Reportedly, you can go back to the previous release of the game which does work with CrossOver.

I had most settings on low but textures and details on high. I was getting about 32fps at 1440p and it didn't look that great. I switched it to 1080p and it looked much worse since I have a 4K monitor, but fps jumped to 45.
