About Unplayable

UNPLAYABLE is a DIGITAL ART PROJECT presenting a funny compilation of absurd video games, each in a specific genre:

INVISIBOY: A platform game with an invisible hero. As he plays the game, the player can slightly guess where his character is by the responsive scrolling of the background, the collecting of coins that give a hint of his location as well as the sounds that indicate his jumping actions.

GHOST FIGHTER: A beat’em up hero who can’t fight because he’s a ghost…this is an unbrawlable brawler…

BLOCK SHOCK: A Tetris-like puzzle game with impossible shapes.

UNPLAYABLE explores the videogame medium as an artistic tool. Just like using a camera to make video art, we use video games and their specific language as an instrument for emotional and artistic expression. By having a series of (nearly) unplayable games, we want to contemplate the absurdity of our lives and mankind’s obsession with rules and our illusion of control. We also want to convey a sense of intrigue and most of all: a sense of fun.

Here, we should be asking ourselves: why do such useless games exist? Are they really useless as there is meaning attached to it? Or am I taking this, as well as myself, too seriously? :-))

Main Features
  • Three games in one!
  • Cool pixel art graphics
  • Short & fun game experiences
  • Share the games with your friends
  • Use them as a party game! How far can you get in these impossible games?

Note: This game is unplayable. It is an art project and is meant to describe the feeling of not being in control, being lost, being stuck. Your purchase supports our studio in developing meaningful games and art projects. Our other games can actually be played so please check them out if you enjoyed Unplayable.
