I've re-tested with CrossOver 26 Preview. It looks pretty good and plays decently in the places I went to with the "autodetect" graphics setting. The only change I made was to turn down shadows to make it feel smoother.

Important: If you upgrade CrossOver the game will have a black screen for a few minutes after launching it while it processes shaders again.

Frame gen off
Low settings except textures and materials on high and effects on medium
Motion blur off
The frame rate at Hogwarts has both been low (~30 FPS) and high (60 FPS) but sometimes it feels well below 30 FPS when it shows as being higher.
Hogsmeade had worse frame rate but it was still playable (over 30 FPS most of the time).
Frame Gen
I tried frame gen but didn't like how it felt even though the frame rate showed as being much higher. I could also see rendering problems because of it so I turned it off.
Resolution
The game only provides windowed and borderless windowed and with borderless windowed the ability to lower screen resolution is disabled so I had to play at 1440p. The upscaling resolution was slightly lower than 1080p.
